Cookie Policy
Cookie and Tracking Technology Policy. Last Updated: May 12, 2026.
This policy explains how we use tracking technologies, including server-side logging and cookies, to provide a secure and efficient experience. Unlike traditional websites that rely on invasive third-party tracking, we utilize a privacy-by-design architecture.
1. Our Tracking Philosophy
In 2026, we recognize that "privacy-preserving" does not mean "invisible." We categorize our technologies into three distinct tiers as defined by the UK DUAA 2025 to ensure you have full transparency and control over your data.
2. Classification of Technologies
Tier 1: Strictly Necessary (Operational & Security)
These technologies are essential for the website to function. Their absence would render the service technically non-functional.
- Purpose: Rate limiting, bot prevention, fraud detection, and load balancing.
- Data Processed: IP Address (processed as Personal Data under Recital 30), Device Type, and Timestamps.
- Lawful Basis: Legitimate Interests (UK GDPR/DUAA) – protecting the service from cyber-attacks.
- User Control: No opt-out available as these are required for security.
Tier 2: Statistical Purposes (Service Improvement)
We use Hostinger Server-Side Analytics to understand how our site is used. This method is more private than traditional cookies as it does not use third-party scripts or client-side storage.
- Purpose: Measuring page views and site performance without identifying you personally through browser fingerprinting.
- Data Processed: Coarse geographic region, browser type, and referral source.
- User Control: Under the DUAA 2025, we provide a simple means of objecting.
Tier 3: Appearance & Personalization
These technologies remember your preferences (e.g., language or dark mode settings).
- Purpose: Enhancing user interface consistency.
- User Control: Consent-based. These are disabled by default until you interact with the preferences menu.
3. Data Governance & Security
- Data Residency: All server logs are hosted on Hostinger's EU-based servers, ensuring the protections of the GDPR remain intact.
- Retention: We do not store personal data longer than necessary. Server-side logs containing IP addresses are automatically purged after 30 to 90 days following security forensics protocols.
- Third-Party Links (WhatsApp): We use a direct wa.me hyperlink rather than a floating widget. No data is shared with Meta/WhatsApp until you proactively click the link. We recommend utilizing WhatsApp's Advanced Chat Privacy settings once the transition occurs.
4. Your Rights
Under the DUAA 2025, you have the following updated rights:
- Right to Object: You may object to our "Statistical" processing at any time.
- Human Intervention: If you are blocked by our automated security systems (e.g., rate limiting), you have the right to request a manual review by a human staff member.
- Direct Complaint: You have the right to complain directly to us at the contact details below, or to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
5. Mandatory Business Disclosures
